Why? - our aims

Our general aim is that of the well-being of our children. In this way each of them will be strengthened within and will develop values and abilities on a Christian basis and will furthermore also have an effect on their families and society.

In particular this means that we promote...

  • ...and effective education

We want to teach rights and responsibilities in a homely atmosphere of warmth and safety – just as every child should be taught in their own homes – in order to prepare them emotionally and intellectually to face their present and future lives.

  • ...a comfortable living environment

We want to encourage a Christian foundation so that their dealings as future citizens derive from a fear of God and love of themselves and their fellow citizens.

  • ...hygiene and health

Personal hygiene and cleanliness are to be encouraged as well as the appreciation of the value of property in our home.

  • ...social contacts

We want to interact with one another as much as possible in order to strengthen the social contact and relationship amongst the children.

  • ...a healthy nutrition

We want to be able to guarantee our children a balanced and healthy nutrition (breakfast, lunch and dinner).

  • ...the children’s families

We want to support the development of responsible families that are closely connected to the Hogar and whose highest priority is the well-being of their children and their whole families.

  • ...sustainable projects at Hogar

We want to start projects at Hogar together with other institutions or people, who recognise our work, in order to be able to make Hogar financially self-sufficient.
